In the world of moving head lighting there are three main types: Spots, Washes and Beam.beam spot wash 350 Beam fixtures are designed specifically to create mid-air effects with their extremely tight beam angle. This allows the use of GOBO patterns to produce some stunning visuals, especially in a hazy environment. Wash lights are the softer option, and typically don’t feature a GOBO projection but do offer a wide selection of color wheels to give your event a more fluid look. Finally, there are hybrid fixtures that combine the traits of all three primary fixture classes into a single unit. These can change from the sharply-focused GOBO projections of a Spot to the soft output of a Wash all in a matter of seconds.
