How Do You Secure a Pole With a Moving Head Beam?

It is in fact not possible to use a moving head beam for securing a pole in any manner. The pole securing means, basically work the way it does to lock the head portion of the beam onto the pole.

Now, if you want to find out about the pole secured by a moving head beam you are going to have to get some basic information from the manufacturer's literature. It will be useful for you to know the dimensions of the beam and this, can be important. If the bolt heads of the beam are bigger than those of the head portion of the beam then they won't fit into the hole properly.

You need to make sure that the head of the moving head beam is secured to the pole by turning the lock ring. When you do this, the lock ring needs to be over the stud of the beam. In this way you prevent the beam from falling off the track on which it is being installed. The lock ring is also there so that the bolt head does not fall off the post where it was being driven into.

Most manufacturers do not give you the dimensions of the head of the moving head beam. This is a natural thing to expect as such a piece of equipment is specially designed to fit into various tracks and has to be supported from below. However, you can do a bit of investigating for this particular information. To begin with you could look at the manual or specifications of the equipment and look at the table of specification for that equipment.

This will give you the dimensions of the head of the moving head beam. In this case you will find that the head needs to be locked to the center of the stud.

You need to lock the head of the moving head beam to the center of the stud of the track in order to secure the beam to the pole. There are numerous options available to you when it comes to locking a beam to a pole. The most common option is the bolt together locking system.

Bolt together locking systems require only a single bolt to lock the head to the stud. This may not be convenient for you if you have several beams installed in a multi-track facility. If so then you will need to buy one single large beam and put it in one of the posts in order to give the other beams a suitable location to be secured.

While all this may be happening, you will need to consider the use of the lock ring. A lock ring is a ring of steel or other metal with holes in it. These holes can be fitted onto the beams and it will remain secure against vibrations.
