A Quick Overview of the 6m Truss Structure

The most common type of trusses is made from aluminum, and the most frequently used style of truss is the four-sided or pentagonal truss, which is basically an extended hexagon with four parallel, straight side bars. Metal trusses are also commonly used in both residential and commercial structures.

However, there are a variety of styles of trusses, depending upon the number of posts, angles, and/or curves that are incorporated into the design. A good example of a simple truss is the 'J' truss, which has four straight sides and is the most common design for metal trusses. Another is the 'L' truss, which has six straight sides and is considered one of the easiest trusses to build. Finally, there is the 'H' truss, which has nine straight sides and is commonly used in residential building designs.

The above descriptions give the basic differences between trusses and roofs, but trusses are far more complex than just four-sided and hexagonal. They provide many other important functions, including: insulation, stability, weight, and aesthetics.

As previously stated, metal trusses are often the strongest type of truss available. This is primarily because of their thickness, which can easily reach two feet or even more. However, metal trusses are typically not very attractive, since their appearance may appear somewhat unsightly and heavy on a building.

Another popular style of metal truss is the 'wooden beam' truss, which is similar in appearance to wood, but is constructed out of either aluminum or steel. And while it is a lot lighter in weight than its woody counterpart, it does require more energy to manufacture. Additionally, wood trusses are more aesthetically appealing, making them a great choice for use in residential buildings.
