Modular portable staging is basically a system of staging where various elements of portable buildings are assembled into one large portable building. This system is very useful for the movable buildings used in schools, colleges, hospitals, shopping malls, military compounds, as well as other public places. The modular, portable staging system consists of various elements such as a storage trolley for storing materials, a platform, a front panel for storage, and overhead doors. These risers can be made from either lightweight material such as wood or concrete, or heavy-duty material like aluminum or steel. In order to support the weight of the riser, steel girders are installed on both sides of the platform risers.

Another important element in a modular portable staging system is the adjustable lighting system. Many churches use this type of system for additional safety features. In this type of arrangement, the stage risers and the platform risers are mounted on top of an aluminum folding portable stage. The stage risers can be adjusted so that it will be suitable to the height of the congregation. Usually, this type of riser is supported by steel girders.

In order to increase the convenience of the application, several churches use a combination of portable stages. For example, some use a portable stage on the main aisle of the church, while the other section uses the portable stage on the end of the pulpit. Several portable stages are used for the reading of the morning service and interiors of the church. Different materials are used for the construction of the platform and risers.
